Judith Heim Owner & Head Therapeutic Riding Instructor of Morning Star Farm

Just writing ‘Thank you’ simply does not express my sincere gratitude for the scholarship you generously gave our son to attend the YMCA at Camp Speers.

Your scholarship blessed our family beyond the words ‘thank you.’ You gave my child the opportunity to continue to develop and grow. He was able to “fit in” at camp. He was able to spend his days with his twin in a supportive environment that encouraged him to reach his goals and rise to new challenges. The camp welcomed my child as he is along with his TSS and BSC. He rode a horse for the first time and learned numerous priceless life lessons of teamwork. Outside of his loving family, he’s never been able to be a part of a team.

Your scholarship financially allowed my child to go to camp. Unfortunately, it was an expense we could not afford. I honestly don’t know how to express our full appreciation for my child's scholarship. Thank you is just not enough! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the experience you provided to our little boy! Thank you for your kindness and generosity!

I wanted to make sure you know how much your kindness impacted my son’s life. Gideon has benefited from your scholarships for a number of years now and attends GAIT. “Horses” is a highlight of his week and it would not be possible without your wonderful organization. We see a marked change in him after riding – he is calmer and relaxed, often falling asleep on the ride home. He is learning to be gentle and manage his outbursts and meltdowns. The movement does wonders for his sensory processing disorder. The program has been remarkable. Thank you so much for making it possible for our family

Most people would think, “cute kid with animals… what’s the big deal?” Colin has very severe stim issues due to his CP. If someone told me two years ago, he would sit still and smile with animals I would have said ... NO! These are the miracles that happen at camp with your help. I cried happy tears and was so very proud of my boy. THANK YOU.

Thank you very much for the scholarship given to Grace. She was able to utilize several sessions of therapeutic riding this year because of your generosity. We have seen amazing progress in Grace as a result of her time at GAIT. We truly appreciate you giving her this opportunity.

Thank you for helping me go to camp. I made friends and made it to the top of the tower. I never thought I could. I got a lot of award ribbons for fishing, archery, science, biology and chemistry. I want to go again next summer. Thank you for letting me go.

Lennon attended summer camp at Morning Star Farm in Newton, NJ. I can not even express in words how great this program was for him. He thoroughly enjoyed each and every riding experience. Even on bad days when he would be grumpy or anxious and just not want to do anything, we would arrive at the farm and a smile would come over his face.

Thank you so much for the most wonderful experience for all of us, but mostly Lennon. We are forever grateful for the Ingeborg A. Biondo Memorial Foundation!

Because of you countless children with type one diabetes have had the opportunity to experience the life changing programs that we offer. At Camp Nejeda children with T1D learn new and exciting skills to help them manage this chronic disease while fostering new friendships and peer connections.

The special needs of our campers are unique in many ways. However, to look at a child with T1D you would never know the minute to minute struggles they face daily. T1D is a 24/7/365 job with no breaks.

You have helped change so many lives through the years and we thank you for that. This world needs more people like all of you.

Thank you again for all that you do.

Mandy Dudziak Development Coordinator at Camp Nejeda

Thank you so much for giving my daughter the chance to experience Camp Nejeda! For one week she was a “normal” kid living carefree. I do not have the words to thank you enough for making this seven-year-old the happiest kid on Earth! Meg has been a type-1 diabetic since she was two years old. This was the first time in five years she was able to surround herself with kids just like her. Thank you from all of us!

The Theobald Family whose daughter Meghan attended Camp Nejeda

I made so many new friends at camp, some I still talk to frequently still today. When I was first diagnosed I was the only one in my school, I was different from everyone else. Without camp I would not believe how many diabetics there are. Without you I would not have been able to go to Camp Nejeda all these years. Diabetes is a costly disease and we don’t always have the extra money to afford to send me to camp. I am so grateful that I had a sponsorship this year. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thanks to the generosity of the Biondo Foundation I have become a counselor at Camp Nejeda, my second home.
