"Firefly Field is an all-accessible premiere playground where kids of all abilities can play, share and learn. Thanks to the town of Matamoras, Firefly Field is located at Matamoras Airport Park on more than an acre of land. The playground has been subsidized mainly by the Ingeborg A. Biondo Memorial Foundation, as well as sponsorships and donations from many businesses and individuals. Firefly Field is one of only a few playgrounds in the country where every piece of equipment is accessible to children of all abilities. It is our hope the opportunity to play in a safe and stimulating environment will promote goodwill, respect, understanding and much happiness for many generations."
